Mystikal, a three-time Grammy nominee, was taken into custody on Sunday morning in his native Louisiana and put into the Ascension Parish Jail on six counts, including first-degree rape.
The 51-year-old registered sex offender was arrested following an alleged sexual assault at a local hospital where the victim’sustained minor injuries,’ according to Sheriff Bobby Webre’s Facebook post.
In addition, Mystikal (real name Michael Tyler) was accused of simple robbery, domestic violence battery, strangulation, false imprisonment, and simple criminal property damage.
On Monday, TMZ reported that the troubled hip-hop star – whose father to daughter My’chelle, 23; and son Million, 22 – ‘has yet to see a judge and no bond has been set.’
Mystikal previously spent 18 months in the Caddo Correctional Center from 2017-2019 for first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping, which were ultimately dismissed due to lack of evidence in 2020.
Before that, the former US Army combat engineer served 81 days in East Baton Rouge Parish Jail in 2012 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic abuse battery.
And Mystikal also served six years at Elayn Hunt Correctional Center for sexual battery and extortion against his hairstylist as well as two misdemeanor counts of failing to file tax returns for 1998-1999.
The canceled rapper is next scheduled to perform September 3 at Ohio’s Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica in Cleveland alongside rappers Too $hort and Juvenile.
