Two people have been kidnapped when alleged bandits on Thursday, July 28 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), assaulted a farm in Kwali Area Council.
According to a resident of the Kwali, Dangana Musa village of Chida, two people—a driver and his conductor—were kidnapped in the most recent raid.
He claimed that the bandits broke into the farm where the driver, Atazamu Azaki, and his conductor, Ayuba John, were loading charcoal when they were kidnapped.
According to the eyewitness, the gun-toting kidnappers took the pair away at gunpoint but then freed John after telling him to go tell the victim’s family about the kidnapping.
“It was after they trekked some distance that the kidnappers released the conductor and asked him to go home and inform the family of the driver to raise money for ransom” Musa said
The spokesperson of the FCT police command, DSP Adeh Josephine, is yet to comment on the latest kidnap incident.
