Portable apologizes to the Headies for disqualifying him due to his inflammatory allegations that he founded “One Million Boys” and threat to hurt co-nominees.

Controversial After being disqualified from the 2022 Headies Awards for threatening to kill fellow nominees and making dubious claims that he founded “One Million Boys,” Nigerian musician Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable, has apologized to the event’s organizers.

The prestigious Nigerian award show’s organizers eliminated Portable as a result of his constant contentious social media posts.

The award’s sponsors claim that;

“The music industry demands all-round excellence, and it is extremely important for young artists being potential role models to exude professional responsibility, proper decorum and have respect for others.”

In a video posted online, Portable, who was nominated for “Rookie of the Year” and “Best Street-Hop Artiste,” expressed his regret to the organizers and urged his supporters to keep voting.
