The hair of a male citizen was forcibly removed by Kano Hisbah Board staff because they deemed it to be “unIslamic.”

The young man was stopped along a road by the authorities in the viral footage, who then gave him a haircut before letting him go.

A young guy named Muhammad Ikbal claimed he stopped going to the mosque and praying after Kano Hisbah officials cut off his long hair because it was ‘unIslamic’ one year prior to the most recent incident.
