After Gboyega Oyetola, an APC candidate and the current governor of Osun state, lost the state’s governorship election on Saturday, July 16, a Nigerian got criticism on Twitter.

Ademola Adeleke, a PDP contender, defeated Oyetola for the seat.

Several hours prior to the announcement of the election results, a Nigerian man who was a fervent fan of Governor Oyetola tweeted

”If Oyetola lose this election call me bastard” 

Nigerian Twitter have since stormed his page to call him a bastard. It got so intense he had to tweet again appealing to them to calm down with the dragging.
