On Saturday, July 9, residents of Katsina state’s Daura town were confronted by Senator Shehu Sani for congregating outside to applaud and honor President Buhari.
Residents of the Daura village gathered in large numbers to salute and applaud the President as he made his way back from the Eid prayer area. As he walked home, the President answered by greeting them.
Sani lamented the community members for not using the occasion to demand action to stop the ongoing killings in their state rather than applauding the President in a message uploaded on his Facebook page.
”People are killed and kidnapped everyday in Katsina and the nation always stood with them shoulder to shoulder in sympathy and prayers. It’s sad to see that at a time and opportunity when they should be demanding an action and responsibility from their president, they lined up to sing praises, cheer and clap for him for simply ‘walking.’;Sometimes slavery is a choice.” he wrote
