The New Nigeria Peoples Party’s (NNPP) spokesperson, Agbo Major, has stated that Peter Obi deputizing for the party’s presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, is the only option acceptable to the party.

Agbo was questioned why Kwankwaso can’t agree to be Peter Obi’s running mate on Arise TV this evening.

Many individuals have called the party’s leadership to express their opposition to Kwankwaso being named as Obi’s running mate, according to Agbo.

As talks over a possible merger continue, Agbo stated that the party’s only condition is that Obi serve as Kwankwaso’s deputy.
