Two brothers, Alhaji Mustapha Lawal and Bello Lawal, were killed on their farm in the Iyatawa region of the Igabi Local Government Area, Zaria, Kaduna State, by suspected bandits.
The victims had gone to their farm to plant some crops when the bandits assaulted them, killing two and injuring three others, according to Muhammed Madaki, who told the Daily Post in Kaduna on Saturday, June 18.
The injured victims, all of whom are women, are being treated in a hospital.
The casualties, according to Madaki, were residents of Kofar Jatau in Zaria city, and the attack took place on Tuesday, June 14.
He further claimed that their father, Alhaji Lawal Kofar Jatau, narrowly evaded kidnapping on the same farmland previous rainy season but suffered serious injuries.
