In the ongoing governorship elections in Ekiti state, voters have stated that they will not accept vote-buying.

Ekiti, they claim, is a state of professors. They claimed that because they are not illiterates, they will not sell their votes.

The people of the state are now voting to elect a new governor.

”Vote buying means selling your conscience. We don’t want to see our conscience again. We are determined in Ekiti state. No vote buying again. Ekiti state is a state of professors. We are highly learned here. We are not illiterate” a resident said
