Boko Haram abducts two sisters in Borno

In Mairari village, Konduga Local Government Area, Borno State, Boko Haram extremists kidnapped two sisters, ages 26 and 30.

Borno Commissioner of Police, Abdu Umar, said the incident happened on June 7, 2022, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Maiduguri on Tuesday, June 14.

“At approximately 7.30 p.m., one Ari Mustapha of Mairari village in Konduga claimed that several gunmen thought to be Boko Haram rebels attacked his home and kidnapped his two daughters,” he said.

“He also claimed the militants stole two bulls and other items before fleeing,” the CP added.

According to the police chief, a crack squad was dispatched to conduct a search and rescue operation surrounding the area after getting the information.

Umar said that the command would intensify the search until the victims are rescued and reunited with their families.
