Chiamaka Mabel Okeke, a 300-level student at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), was slain by alleged armed robbers in Anambra State.
Due to the ASUU strike, the student of the Department of History and International Studies was stabbed during a robbery incident at a Shawarma restaurant where she had been working.
The event occurred on Friday, June 10 in Enugwu-Ukwu, Nijkoka Local Government Area, Anambra State, near the famed Ezi Alias crossroads.
Comrade Chioma Kanu, Vice President of the Faculty of Arts Student Association (FASA), confirmed the occurrence, saying Chiamaka died on Saturday, June 11 from her injuries and was laid to rest at Uruokwe village in Enugwu-Ukwu.
