Lady Apprehended After 7 Abortion Foetus Was Found In Her Room

A lady has been arrested after seven abortion foetus were found in her room by her landlady.

When the landlady was about to clean N.M.’s former room in the boarding house, Nulfah Anugrahwaty, discovers the aborted foetuses.

The landlady after discovering seven aborted foetuses in a tenant’s room was deeply in shock, the suspect has been arrested.

The lady is only identified by her initials N.M. She is a 26-year-old hospital worker, the foetuses were discovered after the lady moved out of the house in the Indonesian city of Makassar.

The landlady is identified as Nulfah Anugrahwaty, she found the foetuses as she was about cleaning N.M.’s former room but was disrupted by a horrendous smell.

After she searched the room well, she discovers a four taped-up boxes in a corner of the room, there was were the foetuses were packed.

Police were alerted, they made way to track N.M. to the Konawe Regency in South Sulawesi. Her boyfriend was traced and also arrested in the province of South Kalimantan and are currently in Makassar for the police investigation.

According to reports, N.M. told the police that she and her partner had been carrying out the DIY abortions since 2012, when N.M. was just 16. The last self-termination took place last year, 2021.

N.M claimed that she took a concoction in order to abort her multiple pregnancies, while her boyfriend would then help to extract the unborn babies afterwards.

Asked about the motivation for their actions, she said that they had carried out abortions in order to avoid the stigma of getting pregnant outside of wedlock in the majority Muslim country.

Abortion is illegal in Indonesia with the exception of some exceptional circumstances such as rape.
