Governor Umahi wins Ebonyi South Senatorial ticket after losing APC Presidential ticket to Tinubu

David Umahi, the Governor of Ebonyi State, has won the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) rescheduled Senatorial primary poll for Ebonyi South, just days after losing the APC Presidential ticket to Bola Tinubu.

Austin Umahi, his younger brother, had won the election just two weeks before.

The party canceled the senatorial primary election for Ebonyi South shortly after he lost in the presidential primary and rescheduled it for Thursday night, June 9th.

Governor Umahi won the party’s ticket in the rescheduled Ebonyi South APC Senatorial primary held at Afikpo North Local Government Council.
