Senator Shehu Sani has claimed that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is unfair to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the party’s national leader.
Shehu stated this in a Facebook post he made on Tuesday morning, June 7.
This comes just hours after the presidency issued a statement claiming that no one was responsible for President Buhari’s election in 2015. The comment from the White House comes only days after Tinubu claimed during a campaign rally in Abeokuta that he was the one who propelled President Buhari into office in 2015.
Sani responded to the president’s statement by saying that while Allah made Buhari president, Tinubu played a key role in the process.
His post reads
”The APC is unfair and unjust to Asiwaju.Allah made Buhari president but Asiwaju played a pivotal role.I have been in some meetings when Asiwaju frequented Kaduna.Unfortunately, people like us have left the party,we could have lend him our unwavering support.I would never have sat on the fence or keep quiet. But the truth is evident;they don’t like Asiwaju.Let him join the Atiku Train”
