Nigeria Air, the country’s prospective national carrier, has been granted an Air Transport Licence (ATL), allowing it to begin operations.

Following the presentation at NCAA’s offices in Abuja, the Ministry of Aviation announced the news on Twitter.

This comes four years after Hadi Sirika, the Minister of Aviation, introduced the national carrier.

A tweet shared on the ministry’s account read; 

“The ATL certificate has been presented to Nigeria Air. Congratulations!

“Nigeria Air is here and is going to provide quality service to Nigerians.”
