A Nigerian woman has described how her secondary school teacher died before carrying out his promise to double her cane strokes.

The literary teacher who vowed to double and carry out the whipping during the next session, according to @seyiittan, died the weekend before the class.

She tweeted; 

Can’t forget that in SS3, I told my literature teacher I was sick and couldn’t take the 6strokes of cane and he told me he’d double it next class but died during the weekend

I was 15, first I was happy I won’t get flogged but then I cried because he was young
