“When I’m 38, I’m going to change occupations and become a chef.” — Reekado Banks, singer

Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, popularly known as Reekado Banks, a Nigerian artist, has intimated that when he turns 38, he wants to take a completely other career path.

The 28-year-old artist revealed this on his official Twitter account on Wednesday, May 25.

According to the Ozumba Mbadiwe hitmaker, he plans to leave music to pursue a career as a chef.

Mavin Records signed Reekado in 2014 and he left the label in 2018. At The Headies 2014, he was named Rookie of the Year, and at The Headies 2015, he got the Next Rated honor.

Reekado Banks recently got into a Twitter spat with one of his fans when the latter announced his unexpected epiphany that the singer actually makes amazing songs.

@Famimora_ on the platform randomly tweeted that the singer actually makes good songs, but the context with which he made his stance known caused a debate among tweeps.

@Famimora_ had simply tweeted, “Lol. Reekado actually has good songs.”

The translation of his tweet by the singer is what got tongues wagging on the microblogging platform… Reekado Banks interpreted @Famimora_’s tweet as one that is just coming to the realization that he “actually” makes good songs.
