Mr Macaroni blasts Atiku Abubakar for deleting Facebook and Twitter posts condemning the mob killing of a Christian kid in Sokoto state.

Mr Macaroni, a comedian, has turned to social media to criticize Atiku Abubakar, an Adamawa-born politician and Presidential hopeful, after he removed Facebook and Twitter messages criticizing the mob killing of a Christian teenager accused of blasphemy in Sokoto state.

Atiku’s social media posts were removed shortly after he was threatened with votes by some Northerners ahead of the presidential election in 2023.

Atiku, on the other hand, stressed that the initial post condemning Deborah’s execution in Sokoto State was not his idea.

In response, Macaroni remarked that Atiku’s actions demonstrate that politicians do not care about the people. Politicians merely play to the gallery to win votes, he noted.

Atiku deleting the tweet condemning the gruesome murder of Deborah shows what we have been preaching this whole election season. Politicians don’t care for the people. They only play to the gallery when seeking for our votes. The people must see beyond these gimmicks…
