Accused Blasphemy: Any self-proclaimed leader who remains silent and refuses to publicly condemn Deborah’s murder is a coward — FFK

Femi Fani-Kayode, the former Minister of Aviation, has warned that any leader who remains silent and refuses to openly denounce the gruesome murder of a female Sokoto student accused of blasphemy is a coward.

This was revealed by the politician in response to the gruesome murder of Deborah Samuel, a student at Sokoto’s Shehu Shagari College of Education, on Thursday, May 12.

An enraged mob stoned, whipped, and burned Deborah to death for allegedly blaspheming Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) in a voice note sent to her class group chat.

FFK declared on his Instagram page that any politician who remains mute and does not publicly condemn the heinous murder is a coward.

Read his post below;

“Any so-called leader that remains silent and refuses to publicly condemn the murd*r of Deborah is a C*WARD. I don’t care who or what you are: if you cannot bring yourself to condemn this cold-blo*ded and horrific murd*r then you are nothing but a C*WARD and I have contempt for you.”

Meanwhile, authorities announced on Thursday that at least two people have been arrested in connection with the death of a female student at Shehu Shagari College of Education.

According to a statement signed by police spokesperson in Sokoto, Sanusi Abubakar, the suspects in the viral video on Twitter have been identified and will be apprehended soon.

According to Mr. Abubakar, the school has been closed and more police officers have been dispatched to the area.
