Traveller shares photo of ‘jollof rice’ served on a plane and this starts argument between Nigerians and Ghanaians

A traveller has uploaded images of the jollof rice she and other passengers were served on an aircraft, sparking a debate between Nigerians and Ghanaians, since both countries claim ownership of the dish.

She was on a flight to Ghana when she was served a meal of jollof rice, vegetables, and tomato sauce, according to the Twitter user.

The food in the photo she provided does not appear like jollof, and Nigerians informed her that it was most likely Ghanaian jollof because she was traveling to Ghana.

Other passengers, on the other hand, reported that they were served the same lunch on their flight from Abuja to London.

As a result, Nigerians and Ghanaians are refusing to eat jollof rice.
