“The Queen was very lucky” Queen nearly involved in accident on her 96th birthday as driver slams on brakes to avoid hitting oncoming car

On her 96th birthday, Queen Elizabeth narrowly avoided an accident after her driver slammed on the brakes to avoid colliding with another vehicle.

Today, April 21, is the 96th birthday of the British queen.

She was seen sitting in the front passenger seat of her black Range Rover as she was driven out from Wood Farm, where she is staying on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

Her driver exited the estate along a country road just as a white Nissan Juke sped by at 30 miles per hour.

To avoid a collision, the white car had to swerve and come to an abrupt halt, while the Range Rover had to veer into the grass verge.

A passerby said: “The Range Rover should have stopped at the junction to let the car go by. We sometimes get cars going much faster along that road so the Queen was very lucky.”

The Queen arrived at Wood Farm yesterday and is believed to be staying there until next week.
