Bolaji Animasaun, a businessman, told a Mapo Grade ‘A’ Customary Court in Ibadan on Tuesday that his unfaithful wife, Kadijat, ejected him from his home.
Mr Animasaun, an oil businessman, bemoaned the fact that his wife is cruel to him and has often threatened his life.
“In January 2020, I met Faith, now Kadijat, when I provided her with housing because she was divorced from her first husband.
“I supplied three rooms for her and her two children.” The businessman told the court, “I married her on July 20, 2020.”
After a few months of marriage, he claimed, his wife began displaying her adulterous lifestyle. “I was tormented by one of her lovers.” I was compelled to transfer to a village in Ido, an Ibadan suburb.
“However, when I returned to my residence later, I was astonished to discover that her lover Fahad had moved in with me.” I was furious and went to the Oluyole Estate police station to report the incident.
“My lord, she broke into my safe and stole a 2,450-dollar gold-and-silver wrist watch, a Mercedes Benz worth N12 million, and other valuables,” he stated.
The respondent, on the other hand, was not present in court and was not represented by a lawyer when the lawsuit was filed in 2021.
The Court’s President, Ademola Odunade, subsequently adjourned the matter until June 1, for the defence.
