Toyosi, the young lady who claimed on Twitter earlier today that she was being kidnapped and raped in Akoka, Lagos state, was pursuing clout, according to her elder brother.

The older brother claimed she was merely seeking clout by making a bogus allegation in a voice note he recorded and wanted a buddy to distribute online. Toyosi claimed she had no idea her Tweet would go viral, according to him. He added their father has been crying since she posted the false alarm tweet.

After viewing her post, Nigerians called the police, and policemen raided the address she indicated to save her. Officers did not meet her there, but they did arrest some of the suspects.

It appears she even released an innocent persons’ number online while she made the claim.
