Police locate first year student who went missing after allegedly spending his tuition fees on sports betting

Julius Osuta, a student at Kyambogo University in Uganda, has been discovered after going missing after reportedly spending his tuition fees on sports betting.

The story of the missing first-year Statistic student swept Ugandan social media and news outlets on April 7, 2022.

Later, it was said that Osuta went missing after using his tuition money to gamble on sports, and that he went into hiding out of anxiety and stress.

According to Daily Monitor, police found Osuta at Arua Park, Kampala on Thursday morning, April 14 and handed him over to his parents.
