Gbenga Ogbara, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Atakumosa East Central local government area of Osun State, was assassinated by unknown gunmen.
At around 12 a.m. today, April 11, the politician was shot dead inside his sitting room in Igangan, his hometown.
Mrs Yemisi Opalola, the Public Relations Officer for the Osun State Command, confirmed the occurrence.
“Some shooters assassinated the APC leader at 12 a.m. Since then, police have been dispatched to the area. The case is still being investigated. The culprits will not get away with their crimes.”
