A guy was slain in a horrific prison attack after he was convicted of murdering a toddler by shooting her in the head.

On Tuesday afternoon, Semajs Short was murdered by a gang of inmates at the Bertie Correctional Institution in Windsor, North Carolina.

The 24-year-old was arrested in the prison’s housing section when he was 17 years old.

Short died at around 2:37 p.m., despite efforts by first responders to save him, according to a representative for the state Department of Public Safety.

Several other inmates were allegedly injured in the incident, although their injuries were not life-threatening.

Short was serving a 31-year sentence for the murder of toddler Dy’Unanna Anderson at the time of his death.

At the age of 17, he pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder of the two-year-old.
