After her 16-year-old nephew’s body was discovered in her backyard weeks after she reported him missing, a 36-year-old woman was arrested.
This month, the teenage boy went to see his aunt, Andile Aalivirah, in Tsakane, Gauteng, when she allegedly beat him to death, buried his body, and then declared him missing.
On Friday, April 1, his aunt, who had reported a missing person to the police station, was arrested along with her 14-year-old son.
The woman’s son is accused of assisting his mother in strangling Neo and burying him in the backyard.
The body was retrieved from a big pit that the aunt allegedly paid employees to excavate under the pretense of constructing a water tank.
suspect is due at Tsakane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, April 4th, on charges of murder, perjury, and subverting the ends of justice.
