After a fan pointed out that his colleagues didn’t applaud him as much after his FIFA performance, Davido stated that he is against the music industry.
The FIFA World Cup soundtrack included Davido. He also performed at the draw for the FIFA World Cup Final.
The performance sparked an internet feud between Davido’s supporters and supporters of other Nigerian singers.
“The Nigerian music industry is against Davido, no artist posted about Davido’s FIFA song, but if it was the other man, everyone’s account would be twerking for him,” one of Davido’s followers tweeted.
“Not his fault he was born rich.”
Davido then took to his Twitter account to write: “Me Vs the industry!!! I live it!!”
