A microloan company has been accused of declaring defaulters dead, as well as designing and distributing obituaries to their family and friends.
Azuwuike Chinedu Achiever, a customer, recently posted on social media about his experience with the lending company.
He claimed he had missed five days of payments and that the next thing he saw was his obituary.
Another costumer of a loan app, Victoria Eyo Ekpo, stated she was also a victim on a public Facebook group and promised not to repay the debt.
She said, “This is what Deloan (app) sent to me oooo. I will never pay. They called my mum and insulted her. May God help us.” (sic).
Ekpo added that she borrowed the sum of N15,000.
