Abducted wife, two daughters of Zamfara lecturer regain freedom after N10m ransom

Bandits have freed the wife and two daughters of Dr. Abdurrazak Muazu, a lecturer at the Federal College of Education Technical Gusau in Zamfara State.

Binta Umar Jabaka and her two daughters, Maryam Abdurrazak and Hafsat Abdurrazak, were kidnapped at 1 a.m. on Saturday, January 1, 2022, in their home in Mareri village, on the outskirts of Gusau town.

According to a family member, Mohammed Bello, the victims were released in the early hours of Monday, January 10 after a N10 million ransom was paid.

The bandits had initially sought N50 million, but subsequently agreed to settle for N10 million, according to Bello.
