Gunmen Kidnap Bride At Pastors House Few Hours To Her Wedding In Plateau

Farmatof Paul, a bride, was seized by gunmen suspected of being kidnappers just hours before her wedding in Plateau State’s Bokkos Local Government Area.

Farmat was kidnapped on Sunday, January 2, at the home of her pastor, where she had gone to spend the night before her wedding, as is customary in the faith.

Farmat and Zaphaniah Kosom Bokkos’ wedding was set to take place at Christ Apostolic Church in Ngyong district at the local government on Monday, January 3, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.

According to a source close to the church, the gunmen stormed the pastor’s home around 10:45 p.m. and abducted only the bride, leaving the pastor and his family unharmed.

The perpetrators spoke in Fulani throughout the ten-minute operation, according to the source, who also stated that the event was reported to the local government’s Divisional Police Headquarters.

All plans and preparations for the wedding, which was supposed to take place today (Monday), have been put on hold, according to him, because the groom has gone into seclusion.

“As I speak with you, the groom is still coming to grips with reality.” The incident has a variety of connotations, and it is a dismal circumstance. He stated, “Both the church and the family are eagerly awaiting a call from the kidnappers.”
