The Special Force Squad of the Nigerian Navy Base, Onitsha, attacked the Ochan Forest, a kidnapping base in Anambra State, on Friday, December 31, murdering ten kidnappers.

Five of the kidnappers were arrested, but others left the scene with bullet wounds.

The naval team’s leader, Suleiman Agabi, said the kidnappers’ hideouts were stormed at 1:20 a.m. on Friday, December 31, after gathering intelligence on their plan.

According to Agabi, the accused kidnappers were responsible for the kidnapping of Igwe Oliver Nnaji, the traditional ruler of Ogwaniocha community in Anambra State. The monarch was kidnapped on November 15, 2021.
