Eight Suspected Cultist Arrested In Ogun

During special operations conducted out to checkmate the violent actions of cultists in the state, the police in Ogun State said it detained about eight members of deadly cult groups.

The suspects were apprehended during brutal skirmishes that left four people dead in Abeokuta and Itori, according to Abimbola Oyeyemi, an Ogun police spokeswoman.

According to Oyeyemi, the four people killed as a result of a dominance war between members of the Aiye and Eiye cult organizations, which have recently terrorized several sections of the state.

To rein in the cultists’ excesses, Lanre Bankole, the State Commissioner of Police, is claimed to have launched a large manhunt for any members of either of the two groups.
