A pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Sunday Adeniran, and a female teacher have been kidnapped in Calabar, Cross River State.
The two were kidnapped from their home in Ikot Eneobong Community, a hilltop estate on the outskirts of Calabar metropolis, at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 13.
The kidnappers entered the apartment through the roof, according to neighbors, and snatched the victims away.
DSP Irene Ugbo, a spokesperson for the State Police Command, confirmed the incidence to Vanguard, saying the police were on top of the situation, adding that the anti-kidnapping and cultism squad AKCS was on the lookout for the criminal.
“We are aware of the incident ,and the Anti Kidnapping and Cultism Squad, AKCS ,has already swung into action and on the trail of the kidnappers. We want to assure the residents of the area to remain calm ,we will smoke them out no matter what it takes , there is no space for criminality in any part of the state.” she added.
