Queen Elizabeth, 95, uses walking stick for for the first time in 18 years as she attends thanksgiving service (Photos)

Today, October 12, the British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, arrived at Westminster Abbey with a walking staff for help as she attended a thanksgiving service to commemorate the Royal British Legion’s centenary.

As she stepped out of a car in London this morning, the 95-year-old monarch was accompanied by her daughter, Princess Anne.

Despite her advanced age, the Queen rarely uses a walking stick; the last time she did so was in 2003, following knee surgery.
