Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), makes his first public appearance since returning from the United Kingdom (UK) on Friday night.
At a welcome-back gathering and prayer hosted by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the State House in Marina on Sunday, Tinubu reconnected with his political associates and protégés.
At 2:45 p.m., Sanwo-Olu welcomed the former Lagos State Governor, who was accompanied by his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and Chief of Staff, Mr. Tayo Ayinde.
All elected officials and political appointees in Lagos, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, were present at the simple event.
In attendance were members of the State Executive Council, the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), and council chairmen.
Sanwo-Olu said Tinubu’s return was “more than welcome news” for his supporters across the country, adding that the APC leader had been re-energized and was ready to make his next political move.
