A man fell 100 feet from the ninth floor of a New Jersey high-rise building and somehow survived the fall after landing on a BMW.
The 31-year-old man, who has not been identified, slammed through the roof of the black BMW and was seen crawling from the wreckage in Jersey City around 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday.
The man had leaped from the ninth level of the high-rise building at 26 Journal Square, through an open window.
The man was observed writhing in pain on the pavement after surviving the fall.
As he stood up, surrounded by shards of glass and a shattered car roof, the man noticed that his right arm was fractured and called for witnesses. ‘How did that happen?’
The individual did not work inside the facility, according to witnesses and workers, and it is unclear how or why he was there.
According to a source, he also refused to provide police officials his name.
‘He fell into the car through the sunroof, then climbed out of the car and fell to the ground,’ said Mark Bordeaux, 50, a building worker who witnessed the incident.
‘He was trying to get up but people were trying to get him to stay down, “You don’t know how hurt you are”.
‘So he stayed there until the police and ambulances came.
He kept saying, “Leave me alone, I want to die.”
