On Wednesday, October 6, a fire overtook a portion of the Federal Secretariat complex in Abuja, injuring at least two individuals.
Eyewitnesses told Channels Television that those injured leaped from the second level, where the fire started.
The fire erupted on the second floor of the first phase of the complex, which houses the Federal Ministry of Education, according to one eyewitness.
Officials from the Federal Fire Service (FSS) fought the fire for hours before putting it out with the help of four fire vehicles.
The complex, which is located in the nation’s capital’s three-arm zone, houses significant federal ministries, departments, and organizations.
