Users frustrated as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp crash

Some users throughout the world appear to be unable to access the WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram apps.

According to online outage trackers, this started around 4:30 p.m. today, October 4th, affecting users all over the world.

Soon after the first complaint, the hashtag #facebookdown trended on Twitter, with people all across the world reporting connectivity troubles.

WhatsApp responded to the outage by informing users via their official Twitter account that they are trying to restore the app.

The tweet read;

“We’re aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment. We’re working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!”
