The Nigerian Army has been accused of brutalizing teenagers opposing cattle grazing on their farms in Nde village, Ikom LGA, Cross Rivers state.
Soldiers brutalized ten teenagers from the Nde Community in Ikom Local Government Area, Cross River State, forcing people and monarchs to appeal to the military and the state government for assistance.
According to community residents, the teens “begged the herdsmen” to leave their land after their cattle ate practically all of their crops.
As a result, soldiers are said to have arrived in the hamlet and beaten up the teenagers who had asked the ranchers to leave.
Members of the community have said that they are peaceful and have asked herdsmen and the army to leave them in peace.
