DSS speaks on court judgment ordering payment of N20bn to Igboho

The Department of State Services (DSS) has reacted to a court order to pay N20 billion to Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, issued on Friday September 17.

In a suit filed by Igboho, through his lawyer, Yomi Aliu, SAN, over the invasion of his home by the secret police at about 1:30 a.m. on July 1, 2021, Justice Ladiran Akintola of the Oyo State High Court issued the order.

Spokesman of DSS, Peter Afunanya who reacted to the judgement told Daily Trust they are yet to be notified about it by the court. 

He said; 

 “The court possibly has not informed us. So, my official response is that I don’t have any comments.”
