PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle were nominated to Time’s top 100 most influential people today, as they posed for the magazine’s flashy cover photo, which included extensively manipulated images.
The journal applauded the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for “going toward struggle” in a world when “everyone has an opinion about people they don’t know.”
A photograph of the couple, taken by Pari Dukovic, appears on the cover of the magazine, with Harry dressed in all black standing behind Meghan, who is dressed in all white.
The magazine also featured two more glam photographs of the couple dressed in identical green costumes in front of a yellow wall.
The parents can also be seen going through a garden holding hands and beaming at each other in a more candid photo.
The couple joins a long list of notable figures who have graced the magazine’s cover, including Barack Obama, the first black president of the United States.
Fans, on the other hand, were quick to point out how “awkward” the photos appeared.
On Twitter, one user wrote: “This image appears to have been manipulated in some way. Also, the way they’re positioned reveals a lot: it’s Meghan’s show, and Harry is just a sidekick.”
