Following a ‘bomb threat’ this afternoon, a school and a leisure centre were evacuated.
Police inspected the area but found nothing unusual, according to them.
They claimed to be removing the cordon.
It follows a similar event last December, when staff and students at Stoke Newington School in Clissold Road were evacuated after a bomb threat was received.
Although the area was sealed off, Hackney Police later reported that the school had been checked and that nothing unusual had been discovered.
‘A number of cordons are presently in place near a school in #ClissoldRoad, #StokeNewington, following a report of a bomb threat,’ the Met Police said earlier today.
‘The school, nearby properties and a leisure centre have been evacuated as a precaution.
