Amanda Bynes isn’t following in the footsteps of Britney Spears, as a judge just approved her conservatorship being extended for at least another year and a half.
The former child star’s conservatorship case had a status hearing this week, and the judge set the next hearing for March 8, 2023… so it looks like Amanda’s case will go on at least until then, unless something changes.
The conservatorship must file its next report by January 2023, according to legal documents acquired by TMZ. Amanda’s conservator is Amanda’s mother.
Amanda was placed under conservatorship in 2013 after a series of unusual events revealed her mental health issues, including a scary store security footage.
Since then, she’s kept a low profile, avoiding the spotlight and pursuing interests other than acting, such as fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. She’s also been married and has dabbled with rap music.
Despite all of this, her conservatorship has remained in place to ensure her safety.
