Two teenage boys arrested for allegedly plotting to carry out mass shooting in school

Two Florida adolescents have appeared in front of a court on charges of plotting a mass school shooting similar to the Columbine High School massacre in 1999.

Phillip Byrd, 14, and Connor Pruett, 13, were sentenced to 21 days in secure juvenile jail.

Harns Marsh Middle School in Lehigh Acres, near Fort Myers, is where the young guys are in eighth grade. They were arrested last Thursday when a school resource officer discovered a pistol in one of the students’ backpacks.

The resource officer discovered no weapon in one of the guys’ knapsack when he approached him. Surprisingly, the deputy allegedly learned that the youngsters had discussed a school shooting plot during lunch.
