A guy in his sixties died this morning after a crane dropped a hefty weight on him.
Police were dispatched to a home in Bristol’s Mangotsfield neighborhood.
‘We were called at 9.26 a.m. today to assist the ambulance service at a residential address in Mangotsfield after a man was seriously injured by a heavy load that had fallen from a crane,’ said an Avon and Somerset Police spokeswoman.
‘Unfortunately, the individual, who was in his 70s, was pronounced dead on the scene.’
‘His family has been notified, and our hearts go out to them.
‘Police and the Health and Safety Executive are conducting investigations at the scene.’
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) verified the occurrence, saying, “HSE is aware of this incident and is investigating.”

A person who answered the phone at the company this morning declined to speak to Metro.co.uk.
