The 27-year-body old’s was discovered inside the hospital on Thursday morning.
The car belonged to the Enogie (Duke) of Uroho in the Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the State, Friday Iguodala Ogieriakhi, who is presently in police custody, according to the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Kontongs Bello, who confirmed the event in a telephone interview.
He revealed that until her death, the dead and the suspect were lovers.
The Edo Police image maker advised the public to be calm, noting that the case has been transferred to the State CID’s Homicide Section for further investigation.
“On the 8th of September, 2021, the lady paid a visit to Enogie,” he said. The lady began to complain of stomach ache when they were still at home in the middle of the night, and the Enogie drove her to the hospital. The doctor verified her death when he arrived.
“As a result, the Enogie went to the Ologbo police station and reported himself. The case has been transferred to the state Criminal Investigative Department’s (CID) homicide branch to continue the inquiry into what caused her death rather than claiming something else.”
According to unconfirmed reports, the late Faith Aigbe was eight months pregnant with the Enogie’s child.
Members of the deceased’s family, who did not approve of the relationship between the two lovers, allegedly urged her to have an abortion.
In the meantime, Faith Aigbe’s body has been deposited at an unidentified mortuary for further examination.
