Angelina Jolie Heartbroken After Horrific Custody Battle With Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt stunned the world when they announced their separation in 2016, just two years after they married.

Now, the Tomb Raider actress, 46, has spoken up about their breakup in a way she’s never done before, claiming that the choice was not taken lightly.

Angelina Jolie has dropped charges about her former spouse in a new interview, claiming she once feared for her family’s safety.

Brad Pitt, 57, has been candid about his problem with alcoholism throughout his marriage, but claims he was never abusive to his family.

Jolie has now revealed that their tumultuous divorce has left her “broken.”

When asked if she was worried about her children during their marriage, the mother-of-six told The Guardian magazine, “Yes, for my family, my entire family.”

Maddox, 20, and Pax, 17, are Angelina and Brad’s sons; Zahara, 16, is their adopted daughter; Shiloh, 15, is their biological daughter; and Knox and Vivienne, 13, are biological twins.

They are now seeking joint custody of their children, but Angelina has described the process as “horrifying,” adding, “I almost have to see it as a godsend to be in a position to be able to battle this system.”

“It took a lot for me to get to the point where I felt I had to separate from the father of my children,” she continued.

“I just want my family to heal and I want everyone to move ahead – all of us, even their father, I want us to heal and be calm, we’ll always be a family,” Angelina told the publication, despite the fact that she is broken by the emotional trauma of the divorce.

The former Hollywood’s sexiest pair met in 2005 while working on the box office smash Mr and Mrs Smith, which was released in June of that year.

Brad and Angelina declared their relationship just one year after Brad and former wife Jennifer Aniston announced their divorce in March 2005, saying that she was pregnant with their first child, Shiloh.

After dating for seven years, they announced their engagement in April 2012 and married one year later in a private ceremony.

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce on September 19, 2016, two years after they married, citing irreconcilable differences.
