Eight of Sunday ‘Igboho’ Adeyemo’s 12 aides have regained their freedom after spending 61 days in the custody of the Department of State Services.
According to their lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, the secret police freed the eight detainees on Monday.
Abdullateef Onaolapo, Tajudeen Irinloye, Dikeola Ademola, Ayobami Donald, Uthman Adelabu, Olakunle Oluwapelumi, Raji Kazeem, and Taiwo Tajudeen are among those who have been detained. They appeared with their lawyer during a press conference on Monday afternoon.
The secret police, on the other hand, refused to let Amudat Babatunde, Abideen Shittu, Jamiu Oyetunji, and Bamidele Sunday go, stating that they were significantly involved in their boss, Igboho’s, alleged guns stockpiling and other illegal operations.
Olajengbesi insisted at a press conference following their release in Abuja that the remaining four of his clients be released because they had been given bail by the court.
He further added that the DSS must account for the two Igboho associates who were slain in the July 1, 2021 raid.
