Two Nigerians Arrested With Drugs in India

Two African nationals were arrested by CCB police while selling drugs in the city. They were in the country on business and tourist visas. The police confiscated narcotics worth Rs. 65 lakh from them, including cocaine, ecstacy, and LSD.

Uzochukwu Markmaurice Mbatuegwu, 30, of Obiora Street, Ebonyi State, Nigeria, and Joseph Ndukwe Okafor, 38, of Enugu State, Nigeria, have been named as the suspects. Police seized narcotics, cellphones, and cash as a result of their arrest. The accused Joseph had entered the nation on a tourist visa and was residing in a residence in Yelahanka, according to police.

Police tracked him down and apprehended him, seizing 65 grams of cocaine, 50 ecstasy tablets, 56 LSD strips, and 10 grams of MDMA crystals valued Rs. 15 lakh, and filing a case with the Sampigehalli police station. In another case in Amruthahalli, the accused, Uzochukwu, was detained by the CCB based on credible information while sleeping in a rented house near Jakkur. He was arrested and police recovered 500 grams of MDMA, 91 ecstasy tablets, and 56 LSD strips worth Rs. 50 lakh, as well as Rs. 5,000 in cash, three cellphones, and a car.

According to police, he entered the nation on a business visa and then broke the rules by selling drugs in the city to supplement his income.
